He gave this revelation in an interview with us in Abuja, while noting that his concern for sexual harassment in the nation’s institutions of learning has received tremendous support despite the fact that he is of the Labour Party.

Omo-Agege stressed that the Senators see themselves as patriotic and that he would exploit the understanding of his colleagues despite party and religious differences to push the bill to a conclusive end in order to save the country’s citadel of learning from embarrassment and as well assure qualitative education based on merit.

Quote
“We are first and foremost Senators of the Federal Republic of Nigeria before any other thing and we are committed to those things that will benefit the nation. I am sponsoring a bill on sexual harassment in tertiary institutions in Nigeria and as I speak, not less than 53 Senators have indicated their co-sponsorship,”

Quote
“There is a provision of N60billion in this year’s budget and part of what gratify me is the balance of the project that President Buhari sourced from his trip to China. I think the administration is doing a lot,”
he maintained.

According to him, the Rail stop which covers Ughelli, Warri and Sapele, his Senatorial District will provide job opportunities as well as improve transportation in the South East and South South
